For the Institute of City Planning and Urban Development • Urban Planning Design (Institut für Entwerfen und Städtebau • Städtebauliches Entwerfen) with Prof. Andreas Quednau we developed a visual system that is used on their new website and as a modular building block principle for different media. Using this modular system, the department can generate their own posters, hand-outs or presentations that have recognition value. Therefore, the design needed to be flexible in its application. So, we designed a grid system that could be adapted to the content and be filled with pictures or graphics. The grid itself, with its thick black lines, becomes a characteristic feature. The colour scheme plays a functional and aesthetic role: It changes with each semester.
