Architecture and Naturing Affairs
Architecture and Naturing Affairs is a research project by the design and architecture theorist Mihye An, which deals with the following questions: to what extent has the relationship of architecture become more important for the inner world? What about our relationship to the natural world as infrastructures become increasingly diverse and technically complex? The exploration of this topic was addressed at the interdisciplinary symposium at ETH Zurich, and further developed in the form of a book. The website, as a third platform, serves as a free accessible mini-glossary of the project. It features documentation material of the lectures and excerpts from the book that have been optimised for the internet. The division into three chapters Breeding / Breathing / Inhabiting provides the structure for all of the elements and was also the impetus for the abstract key visual, which explores the limits of naturalness in neon-orange.
